UNINHABITABLE MANSIONS is a Brooklyn band made up of members of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and the husband and wife team of Annie Hart (Au Revoir Simone) and Doug Marvin (Dirty on Purpose). An art and music collective, the band makes dreamy pop music "that makes you feel good when you listen to it." Oh My Rockness. Uninhabitable Mansions recently released its debut album “Nature is a Taker” and will be playing shows this month in the Northeast with We Are Scientists. http://www.myspace.com/uninhabitablemansions
Savoir Adore // "We Talk Like Machines" SXSW Powerplant Live from Cantora Records on Vimeo. SAVOIR ADORE play “fantasy pop” songs built around the boy/girl vocals of NYU grads Deidre Muro and Paul Hammer. "Early Bird," from the bands current album “In The Wooded Forest” (Cantora) was recently the NPR Song of the Day. "Perhaps the sprightliest and most uplifting of In the Wooded Forest's many sprightly and uplifting tracks . . . the song gives way to a comforting acoustic turn and the ecstatic final chorus, at which point warm days have arrived." NPR. NYC blogger The Music Slut called the bands recent Mercury Lounge, NYC show "downright remarkable."
SETH’s long running weekly show “Sweet” is a staple of the downtown alternative comedy scene. He appears regularly on VH1's "Best Week Ever" and "All Access". He's been on Comedy Central's Chapelle's Show and Stella, CBS' Love Monkey, E!s #1 Single. Seth has also been in the films “Role Models,” "Prime," "The Ten," "The Baxter," and "Safe Men."
JORDAN CARLOS Jordan Carlos is an American stand-up comedian who played a recurring character on The Colbert Report and was a co-host on the Nickelodeon kids' show "Me TV."
Two Boots is a family-friendly full service restaurant specializing in Cajun-Italian cooking. It started on the Lower East Side of NYC and has expanded to many locations including LA next door to The Echo. Convenient to both NY and LA Kidrockers shows. For menus and locations go here.
