DENGUE FEVER

DENGUE FEVER is a six-piece from Los Angeles “dedicated to reviving and reinventing the fevered Cambodian pop of the 60s and 70s.” The BBC.  The band makes music that evokes a feeling of “being transported through a steamy, humid time warp where Haight-Ashbury was a swinging suburb of Phnom Penh in the ‘60s.” PopMatters.  Fronted by “golden voiced” female vocalist Chhom Nimol, a Cambodian-born Long Beach resident, the band’s music has been featured in a number of film and television shows including CITY OF CITY OF GHOSTS, MUST LOVE DOGS, BROKEN FLOWERS, HBO’s hit series TRUE BLOOD and twice on Showtime’s, WEEDS.
